I know, I know I promised a blog on the darker side of porn. Well you’ll have to wait for the next installment as I have a few bits on my mind.
In regard to the good “Sir Rodney” piece regarding “Porn On Demand” I agree fully with the good Sir’s Contention that many road warriors would prefer that what happens on their lap top stays off their laptops. But I don’t think that Video on Demand (VOD) is the best answer. Sir Rodney points out that download quality sucks, and waiting for buffering of jerk off material (jom) often broken up into segments is annoying. Just when your ready to pop, the damn movies stop. Thus, the price is way too much for what you receive, your choice is almost always Hollywood dreck.
Ok, so whats the alternative to crappy downloads? 
you ask. Answer: plenty. For one thing almost all sites will stream as well as download, and the jom is at least all in one piece. The price is much lower, the selection is vastly improved, when offered, as more and more sites are apparently adopting, streams are done in DIVX format the quality is vastly superior. You say you still can’t put up with the buffering and the quality. Why not select your jom material at home and burn as much as two hours to DVD?? I’m not going to give you a primer on how this is done but if you go to this site. you can even get the software needed FOR FREE! (I’m such a cheap bastard that I now forgo condoms for Saran wrap and rubber bands… ah just kidding don’t try this at home)> 
You may become so enamoured with authoring and editing DVDs with all your favorite bits you may find your self paying more attention to the good sirs comments on quality of downloads, search out new and different sites and in the process become the new “Ed Woods”( for those much younger David Kellog. For heaven sake, don’t try to sell your creations! Copyright laws ALLOW you to make a copy for your exclusive use. I hope the good Sir is not staying at Motel Six, as the better hotels and even the high class chains are providing ( you may have to ask) both portable and full size DVD players. This has the further benefit of watching on the large screen.
I have a number of other suggestions, but these can wait for another time perhaps. Meanwhile if you’re going to use vod remember to clear your tracks, erase cookies make sure your “history” is likewise deleted, clear your cache, remove any spy ware that was downloaded….see what I mean; you sure this was worth it???
