Soon-to-be Trivia Question Double Dips in Politics

Mary Carey just announced she is running for governor again. I guess I don’t really blame her. Mary manifuples the press, the press manipulates Mary, she sell porn DVDs, they sell Chevys, a good time is sorta had by all. Thus, as long as Mary Carey is making porn, and perhaps decades thereafter, Californians will see her… talents… over and over, until… she is simply famous for being famous… a grim MILFish reminder of election years past.

For those who missed it, the governor’s recall election was a true California freak show featuring the likes of Hustler magnate Larry Flynt (who, sadly, phoned it in), former child star and tabloid nut job, Gary Coleman, and over 135 other candidates who signed up to run, including busty billboard icon Angelyne, who ironically also ran in the recall election. Special rules allowed candidates to get on the ballot with as few hundred signatures. Basically, all you had to do was sign up. The current Governor’s election requires candidates submit the signatures of 165,000 Californians. Who knows, thanks to the 24/7 cable news cycle that elevates anything salacious, and the right’s delight in parading monkies with fuzzy liberal politics, Carey will once again fill our screens with cloying homilies to advocate positions on issues like gay marriage. Maybe as an act of mass civil disobience the people of California will elect her to something. It has happened before to lesser luminaries (I don’t believe it has, actually, but it sure sounded funny to say that).

Carey, who stars in the new Legend Video adult release, Mary Carey for Governor, will continue her campaign tonight when she will be a guest on Alan Colmes’s Fox Radio show at 9 p.m. PST. That comes on the heels of her fourth appearance on MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” last Wednesday.
